Decero: Born of a bare patch of land in the foot hills of the Andes, true to the meaning of Decero, our wines, like our Estate, have been handcrafted from scratch. Remolinos Vineyard, Agrelo, Mendoza: Remolinos Vineyard is located at 3500 feet in the Mendoza sub-appellation of Agrelo. Our initial exploration of the rich tapestry of soils enabled us to plant the variety most suited to each soil profile. Malbec planted on our coarse, high mountain Scots yields an especially elegant expression with elevated aromatics. Ever humbled by our unique environment, our farming approach is sensitive, hands-on and sustainable. Our vineyard takes its noon from the Remolines - little whirl winds, whose airflow protects our vines from spring frosts and keeps the grapes in perfect condition. 2017 Decero Malbec: Handpicked March 21st- April 21st 2017, this wine has lifted violet aromas, pure red fruit flavors and a silky profile. Maturation for 14 months in French Oak barrels results in supple tannins, Decero Malbec is a handcrafted expression of its unique site of origin.
