A blend of Syrah (which they introduced to Washington), Merlot, and Malbec, it’s silky and generous with all the dark fruits, with an emphasis on blueberry and plum. The fruit is joined by notes of pepper and clove, with a slight whiff of toasted oak. It’s medium bodied, and easy drinking. Perfect with pizza or beef stew. **Perrachon Saint Amour, France** Although one of the lesser known Cru Beaujolais, Saint Amour might be the perfect wine to share with those you love on any occasion when you want to quaff something beautiful. Delicate red strawberry and cherry are followed by pretty notes of baking spice and finely grained tannins. Though graceful, it’s anything but simple. The layers of ruby fruits in this gem come from a small vineyard overlooking St Veran, currently transitioning to 100% sustainability. The wine is estate bottled in the Perrachon’s 17th century cellars.
