Santa Ema Reserve Carmenere

Santa Ema 1956. This outstanding Carmenere Barrel Select was aged for eight months in a perfectly balanced combination of French and American oak barrels. This wine has been crafted only with selected grapes sourced from the Peumo area, located in the Cachapoal Valley. - Andres Sanhueza - Winemaker. In 1917 my father, Pedro Pavone Voglino emigrated from the Piamonte region in Italy and arrived in Chile's Maipo Valley. His version was to produce the best possible wines that Chile could offer. Today, along with my family and a qualified team of professionals, we keep the traditions inherited from our Italian ancestry. Our Santa Ema Carmenere Barrel Select is sourced from grapes grown in specially selected low yield vineyards planted in the Cachapoal Valley. The wine displays a deep red colour with violet hues; the aroma showcases fruity notes of cherries interwoven with fine herbs accents and hints of chocolate. Round, full-bodied, concentrated wine in the palate, that ends in a nice fruity finish. Alc. 14% by Vol. Produced & bottled by Vinos Santa Ema S.A. Izaga 1096 Isla de Maipo - Chile. Product of Chile.
