Pedroncelli Cabernet Sauvignon, Dry Creek Valley, 2000

Special Vineyard Selection. Three Vineyards. In Geyserville since 1927. The Pedroncelli family is one of the early grape growing settlers in Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley. Patiently working the soul and tending their vines since 1927, few can match their hands-on appreciation for what it takes to produce great wine grapes. With this rich history of 73 vintages, The Pedroncellis have identified the key components within the vineyard micro-climates of Dry Creek Valley. John Pedroncelli has blended Three Vineyards so that the best characteristics of each is highlighted: The sunny western slope contributes deep red garnet color and mild tannins. The cooler south-eastern benchland adds moderate acidity and light, tart flavor. The warmer northern slope brings a ripe concentration of currants and cedar with a softening finish. This marriage of Three Vineyards, along with oak aging, has developed a rich wine many layers of flavor and aroma. Alc. 13.5 % by Vol.
