Red wine. Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes is one of the outstanding wine of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. L'Oratoire means oratory, a place of prayer built in the 18th century. The simple stone structure situated in a corner of the vineyards is dedicated to a patron saint. The Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes benefits from the fabulous diversity of the soils with valleys of limestone and terraces carpeted with rounded pebbles and stones intermingle with sandy soils of red alluvial clay. Tasting remarks: The harmonious blend of grenache, syrah, mourvedre and cinsault offers a generous wine with intense bouquet of spice and fruits.
