Domaine Verdier Muscadet Sevre & Maine 750 ml

Dating back to the early 17th century, our Domain is one of the oldest in the Sevre & Maine area. As a matter of fact, we do hold a parchment dating back to 1635 stating that one of our parcels located among our 225 acres was the original parcel of Melon de Bourgogne ever planted! Situated on the plateau of Gorges (one of the three crus of Muscadet), our soil is composed of Gabbro which is a dark, coarse-grained plutonic rock of crystalline texture that imparts a high level of minerality to our grapes. In addition, we extend the Sur-Lie (on the lees) period to a minimum of 9 months which adds completely lushness, and texture in order to offer a better expression of our mature vines.
